The process of magic
I create my jewelry through a hands-on, multi-stage process that combines traditional preparation methods with modern techniques.
The materials I use vary, because I work with ethical alternatives sourced from hunters I personally know and trust. This ensures that every piece begins with respect for both nature and origin.
When I receive the bones, I carefully prepare and clean them. This includes thorough washing and degreasing to remove any remaining fat, which is essential for both durability and visual quality. Only once the bones are fully prepared can the actual jewelry-making process begin.
Depending on the natural form of the object, I may also incorporate semi-precious stones into the piece. These stones are set in a way that follows and enhances the existing shape, allowing the organic structure of the material to guide the final design.
The core of my work is electroplating. In this stage, the prepared bone is made electrically conductive and then submerged into a copper sulfate solution. By applying an electric current, a layer of metal gradually bonds to the surface of the bone.
This process allows me to preserve the natural form and texture of the material while transforming it into a durable, wearable object. Electroplating gives each piece its final character, balancing organic structure with a refined metallic finish.
Every step of the process is done by me, with attention to detail and respect for the materials, making each piece unique.
